Fundraising
Have fun with friends or colleagues.
Challenge yourself.
Make a difference!
Fundraising on our behalf is a great way to get involved and to support our work. Whether you organise your own fundraiser or participate in a larger event such as a marathon on our behalf, you’ll be making a big difference by contributing to our work. If you’re arranging an event to fundraise for us, we ask that you let us know in advance to ensure that any event complies with good fundraising practice, our values and the OSCR guidance on Fundraising. We’ll also publicise your event on our social media channels to ensure maximum reach.
You’ll find below some examples of fundraising activities and links to useful resources.

Looking to complete a physical challenge? Here are some great ideas! You could:
Join a race and use your place to raise money for us by getting friends and colleagues to sponsor you.
Organise a sponsored walk with family, friends and colleagues.
Get on your bike whether it's 5k or from Lands End to John O'Groats.
Do it virtually saving yourself from the weather, by doing it all at home or at work.
-
Celebrate with us by doing something different for your big day. Give the gift of your birthday, wedding or retirement to help someone find a fresh start. You could set up a Facebook Fundraiser?
Share your skills. Are you a practiced yogi? Knitter extraordinaire? Master curry-maker? Whatever your skill, host a masterclass for your nearest and dearest and ask for a donation to your fundraiser in return.
Host a Livestream session, whether it’s a virtual gig, comedy session or gaming marathon, turn your hobby into a force for good by using Twitch and Just Giving to stream your fundraiser.
Feeling crafty? Whether it’s handmade cakes, cards, jewellery, embroidery or plants, sell something you’ve made to raise funds for refugees and asylum seekers.

Why not challenge your colleagues? An office bake off is always a tasty idea! Or maybe an exercise bike in reception to burn off post Christmas calories? Whatever you decide to do, make it fun and set up a Just Giving page to make collecting donations nice and easy.
